Profee IP Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across at least 1–4 specialties.

• Code Professional Fee, Facility, or HCC cases.

• Assess ProFee E/M levels.

• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with the utmost level of specificity.

• Precisely apply ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS diagnosis and procedure codes.

• Interpret coding guidelines to ensure accurate code assignments.

• Recognize the influence of documentation on code assignment and reimbursement.

• Adhere to AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding along with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

• Follow internal policies and procedures diligently.

• Engage in training and educational sessions provided by the company.

• Maintain at least one credential from AAPC or AHIMA.

• Ensure compliance with privacy and security regulations, safeguarding confidential information, including Personal Health Information.

• Achieve and uphold required productivity, accuracy, and quality benchmarks.

• Execute additional tasks as directed by leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification required through either AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P).

• A minimum of 6 months of relevant on-the-job experience.

• Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance is necessary.

• Proficient knowledge and experience with EMR and billing systems.

• Access to a phone, reliable internet connection, and current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references.

• Maintain an ongoing productivity and accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

• Achieve a quality score of 95% or above.

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Capable of effective and professional communication, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines.

• Capacity to work independently from home.

• Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours daily.

• Occasionally lift and transport materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
