This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the operational execution of all broadcast and streaming productions for LOVB.
• Oversee broadcast operations, engineering, and crew management for live events and original content.
• Collaborate with executive producers and production/crewing partners to staff matches.
• Act as the primary point of contact for technical managers across 10 markets and league-run tentpole events.
• Coordinate travel requirements and monitor crew-related issues and achievements.
• Assess operational solutions tailored to different venues and broadcast/streaming formats.
• Manage production enhancements, including live player microphones and POV cameras.
• Ensure dependable end-to-end signal distribution for broadcast and streaming partners.
• Supervise output routing from broadcast to streaming and social media encoding processes.
• Troubleshoot technical problems to prevent disruptions.
• Manage relationships with broadcast production vendors and partners, including evaluations and performance reviews.
• Implement on-site workflows for replay and score/stats data integration.
• Elevate vendor issues to executive producers and leadership as necessary.
• Lead the RFP processes for future production partners.
• Oversee the Live Production Schedule matrix.
• Develop and sustain telecast timelines and workback plans.
• Communicate on-site schedules from call times through fax windows and on-air timeframes.
• Collaborate with team event managers and venue operators on broadcast setup schedules.
• Confirm inputs, approvals, deliverables, and match broadcast schedules.
• Keep stakeholders informed on schedule updates.
• Deliver productions within budget and manage production partner expenses.
• Create budget tracking templates and review vendor invoices.
• Survey venues and document broadcast/streaming capabilities.
• Define physical space requirements for broadcasting.
• Confirm venue power, internet, telecommunications, and transmission capabilities.
• Coordinate logistical needs, including parking, credentials, catering, overnight security, and restrooms.
• Operationalize workflows for both original and non-live match content.
• Identify clearance requirements and collaborate with legal to secure releases.
• Assess vendor and partner performance and implement process enhancements.
• A minimum of 8–10+ years of experience in production management, with substantial experience in live sports production.
• Proven expertise in broadcast operations, engineering, and crew management for live events.
• Familiarity with production switcher capabilities and audio consoles.
• Experience working with venues that have diverse infrastructure capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement detailed timelines and workback plans.
• Strong verbal, written, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in managing production budgets and vendor relationships.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required by the event schedule.
• Proven capability to manage, lead, and motivate full-time and/or freelance operations personnel with clear goal-setting and timeline deliverables.
• Extensive hands-on experience in live sports production is essential.
• A strong track record in managing complex production logistics across multiple venues.
• Ability to operate a computer and use a keyboard, mouse, and video conferencing tools effectively.
• Proficient in clear communication via video, phone, and written channels.
• Bachelor's degree in Production, Broadcasting, Media, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in volleyball is a plus, but not mandatory.
