Production Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create initial estimates based on conceptual and design development drawings.

• Provide cost insights to aid in design decisions.

• Recognize cost risks related to site conditions and structural complexity.

• Assist in feasibility pricing for new projects and product innovations.

• Ensure design intent aligns with budget constraints.

• Develop comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

• Execute take-offs from working drawings.

• Apply accurate rates, inclusions, and specifications.

• Confirm that estimates meet construction standards.

• Aid in tender preparation and contract pricing processes.

• Ensure consistency throughout all estimates.

• Review and verify quantities and rates.

• Detect discrepancies in drawings and documentation.

• Ensure estimates accurately reflect realistic construction costs.

• Operate across various estimating platforms, including custom-built systems.

• Enhance estimating workflows and systems.

• Maintain and refresh cost databases.

• Facilitate integration with project management and workflow tools.

• Collaborate with onshore estimating and pre-construction teams.

• Communicate effectively with designers and project stakeholders.

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of estimating processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in residential construction estimating.

• Experience in both sales estimating and production estimating.

• In-depth understanding of Australian residential construction practices.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and construction drawings.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience in preparing BOQs and conducting take-offs.

• Capability to work independently in a remote support capacity.

• Preference for experience with Australian builders.

• Familiarity with DataBuild or similar estimating software is preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Excel is preferred.

• Experience across multiple software platforms is preferred.

• Exposure to custom or integrated estimating systems is preferred.

• Experience with custom homes and volume housing is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills are preferred.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills are preferred.

• A proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues early is preferred.

• Team-oriented approach is preferred.

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.

• Experience with project management platforms such as ClickUp or Buildertrend, or similar is preferred.

• Ability to learn and adapt to new or custom systems is essential.

• Must disclose any ongoing roles or client work.

• Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor.”
