This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and manage the master production schedule across all soil contract manufacturing facilities, coordinating production runs to align with demand, inventory goals, and retailer timelines.
• Convert sales forecasts, retailer commitments, and historical data into actionable production plans.
• Identify and report material shortages, capacity limitations, lead time discrepancies, and seasonal timing conflicts.
• Ensure production sequencing is in line with procurement schedules and co-manufacturing capabilities.
• Maintain accurate real-time inventory records across soil co-manufacturing sites and distribution centers, incorporating NetSuite documentation.
• Conduct monthly inventory verification and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor safety stock levels for essential inputs and finished products.
• Oversee and document inventory transfers between manufacturing facilities, storage locations, and fulfillment centers.
• Track purchase orders for raw materials and packaging from issuance to receipt.
• Gather and review production reports from manufacturing partners and update NetSuite accordingly.
• Monitor deliveries, costs, and production output; address and communicate material shortages as needed.
• Create dashboards for fill rate, inventory turnover, production accuracy, and cost of goods sold (COGS) inputs.
• Analyze production and supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities, process inefficiencies, and network optimization.
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop scalable production planning tools and processes.
• Model network scenarios, freight costs, and inventory positioning across manufacturing and distribution levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related discipline — or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in production planning, operations analysis, or supply chain coordination.
• High proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, scenario modeling, and managing large data sets.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert data into clear action plans.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities with both internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and lean team environment.
• Experience in lawn and garden, soil, agriculture, or multi-site co-manufacturing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Google Suite, including Gmail, Sheets, Docs, and Drive.
