Product Sourcing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take charge of sourcing for a design-focused kitchen, cooking, and food brand aiming for 15 product launches annually.

• Gather product specifications, mockups, and design briefs from the founder to identify appropriate suppliers.

• Locate and reach out to 5-6 potential suppliers for each product.

• Secure NNN agreements and gather quotes from suppliers.

• Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, samples, and production conditions.

• Manage discussions with suppliers about design and component alternatives.

• Regularly consult with the founder on product-related decisions.

• Utilize the company's unit economics framework, which includes HTS codes, cost sheets, and ocean freight, to assess product feasibility.

• Guide products through the entire process until they are received into FBA in the United States, marking the launch.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in sourcing with a solid understanding of MOQs, supplier negotiations, lead times, production, and ocean freight.

• Fundamental knowledge of unit economics, including cost sheets and HTS codes.

• Experience sourcing from China.

• Familiarity with exporting shelf-stable food and understanding compliance regulations.

• Availability for at least 3-4 hours of overlap with Bangkok (ICT) afternoons, approximately from 1pm to 5pm Bangkok time.

• A keen design sense and attention to detail are preferred.

• Ability to work independently, take accountability, and proactively solve problems.

• Strong direct communication skills; familiarity with Eastern European directness is advantageous.

• Capacity to collaborate with the founder creatively, not merely execute tasks.
