Product Sourcing and Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Convert new product ideas into comprehensive technical specifications and intended use cases.

• Perform keyword research, analyze the marketplace, reverse-engineer listings from Amazon and other retail platforms, and assess ROI.

• Identify and evaluate manufacturing partners and sourcing agents throughout China and Asia.

• Compile, analyze, and present comparative shortlists of 3–5 price-verified options for each product concept.

• Calculate estimates for landed costs, factoring in duties, tariffs, and HTS codes.

• Identify, monitor, and secure necessary product certifications such as ETL and UL prior to issuing purchase orders.

• Manage sample requests, packaging design, and line artwork in accordance with launch timelines.

• Recognize and highlight obstacles that require executive decisions.

• Oversee the progression of products through the creation of purchase orders, manufacturing, quality control, shipping transitions, and final commercial launch.

• Maintain proactive communication and foster relationships with suppliers and agents based in Asia.

• Report to leadership and manage the execution of milestones to ensure product launches are timely and within budget.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product sourcing, procurement, or new product development within an e-commerce or consumer goods brand.

• Direct experience collaborating with manufacturers and sourcing agents located in China and Asia.

• Technical ability to interpret and assess multi-component product specifications and landed cost structures.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills, demonstrated by a history of managing multiple deadlines (samples, artwork, POs, compliance).

• Experience in sourcing for private label or licensed retail brands is a plus.

• Background in product commercialization or project management for launches is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Amazon keyword research, market analysis, and ROI assessment tools such as Helium 10 and Jungle Scout is a plus.

• Must currently reside in the Philippines and have legal authorization to work there.

• A reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, and a quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for remote work are required.
