Product Owner – Permanent Employment or Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the product roadmap and backlog.

• Define, scope, and prioritize features from initial concept to production.

• Convert business objectives into clear, actionable requirements and data models.

• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, developers, and users in both German and English.

• Lead sprints, eliminate obstacles, and maintain a high pace of development.

• Evaluate delivered features against the established acceptance criteria.

• Ensure top-notch quality, an excellent user experience, and substantial business value.

• Adapt product processes in line with the company’s growth.

• Promote short feedback loops and a seamless developer experience.

• Drive AI-assisted development workflows utilizing modern tools such as Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner, Technical Project Manager, or Product Lead in software development.

• Fluent in German (minimum C1) for both written and verbal communication.

• Very good command of English (minimum C1).

• Strong technical knowledge of modern web stacks, databases (Postgres), and APIs.

• Understanding of software architecture.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and its implications for product planning and development speed.

• Capability to write succinct specifications, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Independent, pragmatic, and proactive work style.

• Business-fluent in both German and English.

• Availability during regular business hours is essential.

• Nice to have: Background in software development or computer science.

• Nice to have: Experience in start-ups or dynamic, highly skilled product teams.

• Nice to have: Practical experience with Linear, Notion, or GitHub Projects.

• Programming skills are not a requirement, but a solid understanding of modern software development is crucial.
