Product Owner II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance software products through discovery, definition, development, launch, and post-release support.

• Propel the realization of high-value features for designated products.

• Prioritize and manage the development team’s product backlog, which includes features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Convert technical details, workflows, and functional requirements into detailed user stories.

• Represent the voice of the user throughout the product realization process.

• Gather requirements from clients and internal stakeholders, uncover hidden requirements, and clarify ambiguities.

• Decompose epic-level user stories into detailed stories suitable for development.

• Partner with product managers, designers, business users, developers, testers, legal/compliance, operations, and other stakeholders.

• Create and implement the product roadmap.

• Communicate backlog and development updates via product demonstrations, release notes, release plans, and other channels.

• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Act as the subject matter expert for assigned products.

• Work together with UX/UI professionals on usability testing and interface development.

• Evaluate and prioritize defects in collaboration with Product Management, QA, and development teams.

• Review and prioritize feature requests from stakeholders.

• Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards, non-functional requirements, and business expectations.

• Ensure the creation of user and technical documentation for product releases.

• Support customer support teams with training and communication materials for customers.

• Daily management of the Jira project space.

• Participate as Product Owner, Scrum Master, and in final validation testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in managing projects involving web technologies, API development, mobile-first design, app development, and third-party integrations.

• At least 3 years of experience as a digital product owner, business analyst, or in a development role.

• Experience in a multi-team Agile/Scrum environment as a product owner and/or scrum master.

• Familiarity with working alongside an offshore development team.

• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of Internet technologies and web-based software development.

• Basic knowledge and experience with functional testing and validation.

• Proficient in Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

• Experience with work items and defect tracking management systems like Visual Studio Online, Jira, or Confluence.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• High level of integrity and accountability.

• Ability to adjust priorities based on business needs.

• Strong attention to detail and a proven record of delivering quality work.

• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• Comfortable in pushing management and teams toward decisions and seeking necessary information and answers.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently without significant supervision.

• Eagerness and drive to become a subject matter expert.

• Ability to maintain a safe, secure, and distraction-free workspace with reliable internet access.

• Ability to work for extended periods on a computer and communicate via phone and video conferencing.

• Ability to frequently utilize standard office equipment and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
