Product Owner – Corporate Finance Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Lead the digital transformation of corporate finance by converting intricate financial requirements into automated, dependable, and data-driven solutions.

• Own and define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for corporate finance platforms.

• Change manual accounting and reporting processes into automated, scalable solutions.

• Convert finance and business requirements into specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs for Agile engineering teams.

• Collaborate with Finance and Technology teams, including Corporate Controllers, FP&A, Tax, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Risk, and Internal Audit.

• Spearhead financial data integration and harmonization across ERP systems like SAP ERP and Oracle Cloud ERP.

• Ensure adherence to compliance and data quality standards across financial reporting solutions, following GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and relevant regional regulations.

• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data validation, including reconciliation and release readiness.

• Partner with Data and Technology teams on data models, APIs, data pipelines, governance, and reporting solutions utilizing Power BI or Tableau.

• Prioritize product initiatives and delivery, balancing regulatory compliance, business value, technical debt, dependencies, and timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as an Agile Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably in Corporate Finance, Accounting, FinTech, Treasury, or financial technology.

• Strong grasp of corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, and financial data.

• Demonstrated experience in managing product vision, roadmaps, backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Practical knowledge of financial data integration, including SQL, APIs, data models, data pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.

• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP ERP or Oracle Cloud ERP.

• Familiarity with reporting and BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and financial data governance.

• Experience in supporting compliance, audit, or regulatory reporting requirements.

• Proven track record in leading UAT, data validation, reconciliation, and release readiness for critical financial solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in both German and English.

• An MBA or Agile certification (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM) is an advantage.
