Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Monitor updates in tax legislation, electronic tax documents, and SPED ancillary obligations.

• Convert tax legislation and fiscal regulations into clear requirements for the development team.

• Define and enhance the tax-related features of Nomus ERP Industrial.

• Prioritize the product backlog considering customer impact, regulatory urgency, and company strategy.

• Specify features, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Oversee solution development to ensure alignment with established requirements.

• Engage with customers, implementation, and support teams to understand real issues and identify areas for improvement.

• Anticipate changes in legislation and ensure the system is ready to meet new requirements.

• Collaborate with technology, support, and implementation teams to ensure successful project deliveries.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the product with a focus on usability, scalability, and tax compliance/security.

• Translate complex tax requirements into clear, feasible, and scalable ERP solutions.

• Ensure legal compliance while delivering value to customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree completed or currently in progress in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Law, or related fields.

• Relevant professional experience in Tax.

• Strong understanding of Brazilian tax legislation.

• Familiarity with electronic tax documents and SPED ancillary obligations.

• Availability to work 40 hours per week remotely (home office) with flexible hours.

• Passion for tax legislation, technology, and software development.

• Interest in transforming the management practices of Brazilian small and medium-sized manufacturers.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication skills to simplify complex topics into straightforward solutions.

• Initiative, ownership mindset, and commitment to achieving results.

• Experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or a similar role — desirable but not mandatory.

• Experience with ERP systems — desirable but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban — desirable but not mandatory.
