Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of product development to fulfill the needs of customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.

• Keep an eye on technological advancements and the competitive environment to foster innovation.

• Recognize and implement AI and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency, personalization, and decision-making.

• Develop and maintain the product backlog by creating and refining user stories that align with sprint objectives and product strategy.

• Serve as the gatekeeper for the product backlog and the primary owner of feedback loops for enhancements, issues, bugs, and tasks.

• Convey issues, updates, and resolutions to internal stakeholders effectively.

• Coordinate product research and create specifications and user stories for developers.

• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to establish requirements, success metrics, and guidelines for AI-driven features.

• Provide input on resolution strategies and prioritize bugs and enhancements accordingly.

• Address impediments that may impact release schedules and goal attainment.

• Engage in testing and ensure readiness for releases.

• Aid in configuration and communicate the availability of new features in demo environments.

• Act as a liaison for inquiries regarding business rules and product behavior.

• Support rollout efforts, management, and feedback collection.

• Review educational and marketing content.

• Oversee product releases and assist in creating release notes and educational initiatives.

• Formulate launch plans in collaboration with implementation, project management, support, marketing, sales, and customers.

• Participate in webinars, shows, and product update meetings.

• Lead, assist, or engage in Scrum ceremonies.

• Undertake additional product-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred BS/MS degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a product owner, business analyst, or subject matter expert in SaaS software applications is preferred.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and data-driven decision-making abilities.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

• Familiarity with bug/issue/enhancement tracking and project management software is essential.

• Capability to prioritize tasks, influence decisions and decision-makers, and manage objections effectively.

• Excellent active listening, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

• Proficient in managing multiple diverse projects and multitasking.

• Experience with JIRA, Productboard, Pendo, and/or Figma is a plus.

• Background in defining or launching AI-powered product features, or close collaboration with data science/ML teams, is advantageous.

• Comfortable assessing AI tools and vendors, evaluating their capabilities and limitations, and translating these into clear customer value.

• Practical experience in writing AI skills, skill chains, or agentic workflows for research, specification writing, and backlog grooming is a plus.
