Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the subject matter expert and owner of the Bank’s core banking system and related applications.

• Establish and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap that align with business goals.

• Assess industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer requirements to pinpoint opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.

• Collect, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across the Bank.

• Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog effectively.

• Compose user stories and acceptance criteria for development, testing, and vendor delivery processes.

• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and business users to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.

• Lead user acceptance testing to verify that product modifications meet requirements.

• Supervise system configuration and parameter adjustments while ensuring accurate documentation is maintained.

• Serve as a liaison between business leaders, operations, compliance, and technology teams.

• Conduct product demonstrations and roadmap reviews, providing updates to stakeholders.

• Train and assist end users on new features, workflows, and system capabilities.

• Ensure that product modifications adhere to regulatory and audit standards.

• Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and manage vendor service level agreements.

• Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant system usage.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of experience in banking operations, technology, or product management is required.

• Knowledge of core banking systems such as FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Temenos, or Finastra is essential.

• Familiarity with ancillary products including treasury, deposit and loan origination, and digital banking is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Capability to link business challenges to technical solutions is essential.

• Demonstrated strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Experience with dashboard reporting applications is advantageous.

• Background in creating and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders is required.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience are necessary.

• Solid understanding of commercial banking products and operations is crucial.

• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements is required.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities are necessary.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps is a plus.

• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders across all organizational levels is crucial.

• A self-driven and detail-oriented work style is essential.

• Capability to resolve or escalate issues with sound judgment is necessary.

• Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and build strong relationships is required.
