This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and assess new verticals, categories, and product offerings to broaden LegitScript’s addressable market.
• Discover and validate market challenges through structured interviews with customers, evaluators, and prospects.
• Analyze competitive and alternative solution landscapes and devise strategies for competition.
• Develop a systematic market-intelligence framework encompassing win/loss analysis, competitive tracking, customer discovery, and emerging market research.
• Define target markets and conduct segment analysis.
• Identify suitable direct, partner, and referral distribution channels.
• Own the multi-quarter product roadmap and collaborate with product management and engineering on execution plans.
• Create business plans and financial models with the finance team for investment decisions.
• Establish pricing, packaging, and distribution strategies.
• Propose build, buy, or partner strategies, including partner profiles and terms.
• Develop unique value propositions.
• Deliver validated opportunities to product management, including problem definitions, target segments, success criteria, and commercial rationale.
• Present investment recommendations and robust models to the executive team.
• Facilitate the flow of market intelligence throughout the organization from customers, competitors, and partners into executive perspectives and product roadmaps.
• Over 10 years of experience in product strategy, corporate strategy, product management, or business development.
• Background in B2B SaaS, fintech, regtech, compliance, or trust and safety.
• Ability to frame ambiguous commercial questions, conduct analyses, and defend conclusions to executives.
• Direct experience in monetizing data, specifically ownership of an externally sold or licensed data product.
• Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience querying large datasets.
• Experience with Python.
• Familiarity with Databricks and Power BI.
• Knowledge of data requirements for AI developers and detection systems, including coverage, recall, confidence thresholds, schema, field-level utility, freshness, batch export, and near real-time APIs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in financial modeling, market sizing, pricing analysis, unit economics, and investment cases.
• Experience in negotiating or structuring data licensing and data-sharing agreements.
• Experience conducting structured customer discovery and utilizing product strategy frameworks.
• Understanding of legal and contractual limitations on data licensing, including permitted use, provenance, and privacy.
• Ability to influence product, engineering, research, sales, and executive stakeholders without formal authority.
• Preferred background in strategy consulting.
• Direct experience in driving AI transformation at a software company is preferred.
• Domain expertise in payments, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, supplements, financial crime, marketplaces, or advertising platforms is preferred.
• Proximity to Portland, Oregon is preferred.
