This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +9 more states.
• Act as the Product Owner for DataHub, representing the customer's voice to the Agile team.
• Convert product strategy into prioritized objectives for the team.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to align customer needs with business value, technical considerations, and delivery goals.
• Oversee and prioritize the product backlog.
• Transform business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery goals.
• Lead backlog refinement sessions and engage in iteration planning, PI Planning, sprint reviews, system demonstrations, and other Agile and SAFe ceremonies.
• Work alongside data governance, architecture, security, and engineering stakeholders to address data quality, metadata, lineage, access, privacy, and stewardship requirements.
• Collaborate with the delivery team to establish acceptance criteria, quality standards, and release readiness.
• Utilize stakeholder feedback, operational metrics, and business requirements to foster continuous product enhancement.
• Articulate product strategy, priorities, risks, progress, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Balance immediate delivery priorities with the long-term scalability, sustainability, and evolution of the DataHub platform and enterprise data strategy.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Product Owner or in Product Management, directing product discovery, prioritization, roadmap development, and delivery within Agile settings.
• A 4-year college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in a SAFe environment, including PI Planning, backlog prioritization, dependency management, and collaboration among Agile teams.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• The American Red Cross does not provide sponsorship for employment visas.
• Availability to work on an east coast schedule.
• Familiarity with data engineering, data warehousing, analytics platforms, or related technologies.
• Willingness to travel domestically approximately 10% annually.
• SAFe certification is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms, data warehousing, data integration, analytics ecosystems, and SQL is preferred.
• Experience in Biomedical and/or regulated domains is an added advantage.
