This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Develop systems and operational conditions that empower a small team to manage a national insurance platform.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across various functions.
• Oversee new product launches from initiation through to independent operation.
• Convert product strategy into precise specifications for pricing, data, and engineering.
• Coordinate build priorities with engineering and data teams while managing competing demands.
• Facilitate underwriting and pricing experts in directly inputting rules and judgments into systems.
• Ensure consistent terminology is used across systems, models, and teams.
• Establish rapid and accurate feedback mechanisms from policies, claims, and lost deals.
• Create and oversee change-control processes for updates in coverage, rules, and pricing.
• Detect issues during testing phases before they impact customers.
• Transition existing programs onto shared infrastructure rather than isolated setups.
• Utilize AI in daily operations to enhance process efficiency.
• 7+ years of experience in solving complex problems through process and product development, or a proven history of increasing scope and responsibility.
• Possess a systems-thinking mindset, focusing on building scalable solutions rather than temporary fixes.
• Outstanding project management and documentation abilities; capable of managing multiple workstreams without losing track of details.
• Self-motivated individual; thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment.
• Daily comfort in working with AI agents, including delegating tasks, reviewing their work, and enhancing their capabilities.
• Proficiency in automating tasks early and consistently.
• Demonstrated grit and persistence.
• Background in insurance is advantageous but not mandatory; familiarity with policy forms, rate and rule filings, or SERFF is a plus, but not a requirement.
