This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +25 more states.
• Analyze market trends, competitive movements, and portfolio performance to uncover opportunities for new or enhanced solutions in areas such as fraud prevention, digital enablement, loyalty programs, portfolio optimization, and emerging payment technologies.
• Formulate strategic recommendations to ensure competitive equality and distinctiveness for community banks.
• Recognize processes and product enhancements across the suite of services and solutions offered.
• Create requirements documentation for prioritized opportunities identified.
• Spearhead evaluation initiatives and formulate recommendations to aid executive decision-making.
• Identify and evaluate competing providers, typically assessing four to five alternatives within each solution category.
• Examine solution capabilities, competitive positioning, implementation factors, processor and network compatibility, commercial terms, and references.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and present findings, trade-offs, and recommendations to leadership.
• Develop financial models that encompass cost structures, revenue potential, pricing considerations, return on investment, and scenario analysis.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure recommendations align with organizational priorities and the needs of member banks.
• Create business cases that support decision-making and the prioritization of resources.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to successfully launch selected solutions into the market.
• Manage the Profit & Loss statement for products that have been launched.
• Foster alignment among sales, marketing, operations, risk management, and executive leadership for successful implementation and adoption.
• Assist in planning and executing launch initiatives.
• Oversee vendor relationships and monitor solution performance post-launch, which includes performance tracking and regular business reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.
• At least 4 years of experience in a strategic, product, financial, partnerships, consulting, or vendor evaluation role is preferred.
• Experience as a payments issuer is preferred.
• Familiarity with card processors, payment networks, fintech partners, or related participants in the payment ecosystem is preferred.
• Strong financial and analytical skills are essential.
• Proven ability to construct and defend business cases.
• Experience in vendor evaluation, conducting due diligence, or supporting procurement-style decision-making is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to distill complex information into clear, concise recommendations at an executive level.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to general plans, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of card payments, interchange, network economics, and emerging payment technologies is preferred.
