This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of Shorthand’s product narrative, including target audience and communication strategy.
• Collaborate with company leaders to define positioning, segmentation, and core value propositions.
• Gain insights into buyers, users, market trends, and competitors, converting findings into valuable company tools.
• Develop messaging frameworks, use cases, and proof points to support sales initiatives.
• Engage with customers to articulate and communicate the value of Shorthand effectively.
• Craft sales narratives, handle objections, create competitive positioning, and develop decks and one-pagers.
• Enhance the conversion rate of trial users into sales discussions.
• Manage product and feature launches from start to finish, including strategy, KPIs, narrative, and coordination of execution.
• Provide customer, market, and competitive insights to inform pricing and packaging decisions.
• Ensure consistent voice and messaging across websites, product pages, sales materials, lifecycle emails, and in-product interactions.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams on feature framing, naming, and customer introductions.
• Contribute market insights and customer feedback to product strategy and roadmap conversations.
• Report directly to the VP of Growth & Marketing while collaborating with the CEO, Head of Sales, and Product team.
• Utilize Shorthand to showcase the product during launches and facilitate enablement.
• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, journalism, communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of 4 years in product marketing or a closely related position.
• Ideally, experience in B2B SaaS or technology sectors.
• Proven track record of independently driving positioning efforts.
• Experience supporting a sales-driven approach with enterprise clients.
• Skilled in creating sales enablement materials, such as decks, one-pagers, and launch assets.
• Demonstrated success in partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Marketing.
• Excellent writing and communication abilities.
• Capability to produce shippable copy for website headlines, product pages, launch emails, and sales presentations.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• A passion for visual storytelling and effectively conveying product value online.
• Links to at least two examples of previous work.
