Product Manager, Tech Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Convert the Commercial insurance product strategy into a scalable technology roadmap that aligns with regulatory deadlines, organizational priorities, and system dependencies.

• Manage and communicate assigned roadmap elements, including dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and delivery status.

• Facilitate agile scrum practices, ensuring backlog health, Sprint readiness, clear role definitions, and predictable delivery.

• Provide updates on progress to stakeholders and customers.

• Develop high-quality epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure traceability to product, R&D, or compliance source documents.

• Collaborate with engineering and program management to plan releases, mitigate delivery risks, identify cross-domain impacts, and assess technical feasibility.

• Oversee the product backlog with an emphasis on regulatory accuracy, operational readiness, customer experience, platform stability, performance, and competing features.

• Work collaboratively across Commercial Insurance products and capabilities with Insurance Product, R&D, Underwriting, Compliance, Engineering, Program Management, Quality Assurance, and external vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience in product management.

• Over 3 years of product management and/or product design experience.

• More than 3 years of experience managing complex initiatives from start to finish using product management processes and best practices.

• Proven experience defining and implementing product metrics to measure performance and success.

• Familiarity with all stages of product delivery.

• Experience representing diverse customers and stakeholders during the planning process.

• Solid understanding of basic P&C insurance technology, including its functionality, limitations, advantages, and future direction.

• Basic knowledge of the insurance technology ecosystem, encompassing common integrations and dependencies.

• Proficient in managing products with an active development roadmap.

• Skilled at influencing product and cross-functional business teams through earned leadership and effective communication abilities.

• Experience in agile software delivery.

• Capability to present complex problems in a clear and concise manner.

• Outstanding verbal, oral, and written communication skills.

• Preferred experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.
