Product Manager – Tax Firm Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create a vision for the tax firm platform and convert it into a comprehensive roadmap.

• Prioritize issues, oversee the backlog, and take charge of releases.

• Collaborate closely with developers to establish what features are built and their sequence.

• Draft specifications, create prototypes, and swiftly transform ideas into testable concepts.

• Visit tax firms to understand their workflows firsthand.

• Engage with tax firm owners, staff, and clients to convert their challenges into product decisions.

• Determine for each module whether to develop it internally, integrate an existing solution, or form a partnership.

• Assess options based on product value, cost, speed, and strategic significance.

• Conduct discussions with potential module partners and execute decisions.

• Establish pricing and packages for various modules.

• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to provide the product story and sales arguments.

• Collect market feedback and continuously enhance the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in product management or startups, preferably in B2B software.

• Experience in building something from the ground up.

• Familiarity with backlog management, release launches, and daily collaboration with developers.

• Capability to write specifications and build prototypes autonomously.

• Ability to independently develop pricing models.

• Structured, fact-based approach to build-or-buy decision-making.

• Confidence in communicating with both tax firm owners and developers.

• Eagerness to learn about the tax firm market through on-site visits and direct interactions.

• Willingness to take initiative and independently implement initial steps.

• Business-fluent German.

• Fluent English.
