Product Manager – Service of Process

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of one or more products within ABC Legal Services' Service of Process product line, which encompasses the field mobile application, customer web portal, enterprise APIs, and proprietary platforms for job assignment, routing, task management, and evidence-chain.

• Manage product outcomes, set priorities, and maintain a continuous roadmap.

• Conduct field research with process servers, operational teams, and clients.

• Facilitate structured customer discovery through interviews, win/loss analysis, support themes, and usage data.

• Draft product requirements, success criteria, edge cases, and jurisdiction-specific operational/legal constraints.

• Oversee backlog management within the SAFe framework, including features, stories, acceptance criteria, iteration planning, and PI planning.

• Collaborate daily with mobile, web, and backend engineering teams to break work into releasable components and make tradeoff decisions.

• Ensure readiness for launches, including rollout plans, internal enablement, support readiness, migration/backfill, and rollback paths.

• Manage release quality, testing methodologies, UAT coordination, and go/no-go decisions.

• Partner with Operations to identify opportunities for automation, routing, and decision support, quantifying their value.

• Determine optimal uses of production AI, establishing accuracy thresholds, human-review processes, failure behaviors, and automation criteria.

• Define success metrics and track results using the analytics environment and reporting tools.

• Manage risks related to regulatory, evidentiary, compliance, operational, and sensitive data.

• Ensure that changes undergo appropriate cross-functional reviews prior to release.

• Report directly to the CTO.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of product management experience, including at least one product that spans multiple technical surfaces (e.g., mobile + web, or a field/consumer app supported by a core platform).

• Proven experience in conducting your own discovery and converting it into actionable requirements.

• Comfortable collaborating directly with engineering teams across mobile, web, and backend concurrently.

• Hands-on ownership of backlog in a scaled agile environment; experience with SAFe is a plus, while scaled agile experience is expected.

• Background in B2B APIs, integrations, or platform products, including versioning, developer-facing documentation, integration partners, and enterprise technical requirements.

• Ability to analyze data independently and create your own insights; knowledge of SQL is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Demonstrated ability to elevate the product standard through discovery methods, outcome-focused initiatives, or influencing peers and leadership.

• Experience ensuring release quality without a dedicated QA team, including test scoping and coordinating UAT with business stakeholders.

• Some experience in go-to-market strategies, including launch messaging, sales enablement, or customer rollouts.

• Familiarity with navigating cross-functional sign-off or impact-review processes prior to release.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Native mobile product experience is advantageous.

• Experience developing solutions for internal operators is a plus.

• Experience in shipping AI-assisted features is beneficial.

• Background in legal services, legal tech, process serving, litigation support, courts, or heavily regulated/compliance-focused industries is a plus but not required.
