This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement the digital product strategy for designated value streams and digital offerings.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure product vision aligns with business objectives.
• Create strategic capability roadmaps and assist Product Owners in executing these roadmaps.
• Manage product life cycles, total cost of ownership, and ensure benefits realization.
• Act as the subject matter expert for assigned products, maintaining high-level product roadmaps.
• Facilitate discussions on prioritization and resource alignment.
• Investigate trends in the insurance industry, advancements in technology, and competitor activities.
• Oversee portfolio financial value, product expenses, capacity, and decisions regarding buy versus build.
• Lead the development of complex products and guide the definition of business/customer needs, requirements, and release planning.
• Represent the voice of the customer and collaborate with customer experience teams.
• Assess and execute approved product ideas, proposals, initiatives, and requests.
• Coordinate with Product Owners and product teams across deliverables and business/support functions.
• Set and evaluate KPIs and/or OKRs, monitor results, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with Strategic Analytics and Business Process Management to drive process improvements.
• Spearhead corporate initiatives and large-scale programs that impact assigned products.
• Coordinate cross-functional IT program activities and manage steering committees.
• Foster a positive team culture, develop team members, conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and make hiring and salary-adjustment recommendations.
• Address disciplinary issues and support succession planning and development strategies.
• Mentor and guide Product Owners, offering insights on product ownership competencies.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• A decade of experience in product management or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the insurance business area in progressively responsible roles may substitute for some product management experience.
• Experience in a service-oriented product delivery environment.
• Previous experience collaborating with end-users to create customer-centric solutions.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
• Advanced certification in product ownership/management is desirable.
• In-depth understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile development methodologies.
• Proficient in workflow management and roadmapping tools, such as JIRA, Aha, or ProductPlan.
• Strong business acumen in the relevant field.
• Exceptional ability to align product strategy and roadmaps while working collaboratively to drive implementation.
• Ability to modify technical specifications to fulfill end-user expectations and deliverables.
• Proficient with the Atlassian suite (Jira), MS Teams, and/or other collaboration tools.
• Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, including the capacity to coach upward.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Outstanding interpersonal and servant leadership capabilities.
• Ability to manage conflict, motivate and influence team members, and communicate effectively.
• Capability to develop and oversee multiple products with competing priorities.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
