Product Manager On-Ramp, Swap

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and take ownership of the strategy and roadmap for purchasing and exchanging USDT and XAUT within the Tether Wallet.

• Address fiat on-ramps, card transactions, local payment options, and token-to-token exchanges.

• Collaborate with expansion teams to comprehend target-market payment methods, card schemes, banking infrastructure, mobile money, local regulations, and active service providers.

• Establish partner evaluation criteria, encompassing coverage, fees, FX spreads, approval and conversion rates, KYC experience, settlement speed, reliability, and compliance status.

• Identify the most suitable on-ramp or swap partner for each market.

• Guide selected partners from evaluation to launch, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Business Development on due diligence, commercial agreements, and contracts.

• Convert partner capabilities and APIs into product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create an in-app buying and swapping experience.

• Define routing logic based on country, currency, amount, price, and availability.

• Specify and monitor buy-and-swap funnel KPIs, including conversion rates, payment approval rates, KYC drop-off rates, total user costs, and volume by market and partner.

• Enhance user experience, manage partner performance and incidents, and assess market-partner suitability post-launch.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of product management experience in the financial sector (banking, payment service provider, FinTech).

• At least 3 years of product management experience in the DeFi or cryptocurrency sector.

• Strong understanding of crypto wallets and DeFi functionalities, including token swaps, DEX aggregators, and on-chain transaction flows.

• Solid knowledge of global payment systems and credit card networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), including authorization, 3-D Secure, and chargebacks.

• Familiarity with local payment methods such as bank transfers, instant payment systems, and mobile money.

• Practical experience with fiat on-ramp, off-ramp, or swap providers, or integrating third-party payment vendors and gateways into a consumer application.

• Demonstrated experience in evaluating, selecting, and onboarding external partners, along with managing their performance after launch.

• Working knowledge of KYC/AML regulations and their impact on user onboarding and conversion.

• Technical proficiency to read partner API documentation, evaluate integration options, and collaborate closely with engineering teams.

• Experience in defining funnel KPIs and leveraging data to enhance conversion and inform partner decisions.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with partners, expansion teams, and engineers across time zones in a remote setting.
