Product Manager – On-Ramp, Swap

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and take charge of the strategy and roadmap for purchasing and swapping into USDT and XAUT within the Tether Wallet.

• Collaborate with expansion teams to gain insights into payment methods, card schemes, banking infrastructures, mobile money, local regulations, and active providers in targeted markets.

• Assess and choose on-ramp or swap partners based on factors such as coverage, fees, FX spreads, approval and conversion rates, KYC experience, settlement speed, reliability, and compliance.

• Lead the selected partners through the evaluation phase to go-live, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Business Development on due diligence, commercial terms, and contracts.

• Convert partner capabilities and APIs into product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create an in-app buying and swapping experience.

• Establish routing logic based on country, currency, amount, price, and availability.

• Define and monitor buy-and-swap funnel KPIs, including conversion rates, payment approval rates, KYC drop-off, total user costs, and volume segmented by market and partner.

• Enhance user experience, manage partner performance and incidents, and evaluate market partner fit.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of product management experience in the financial sector (banking, payment service providers, FinTech).

• At least 3 years of product management experience in the DeFi or cryptocurrency sector.

• Strong knowledge of crypto wallets and DeFi functionalities, including token swaps, DEX aggregators, and on-chain transaction flows.

• Solid understanding of global payment systems and credit card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), encompassing authorization, 3-D Secure, and chargebacks.

• Familiarity with local payment methods such as bank transfers, instant payment rails, and mobile money.

• Practical experience with fiat on-ramp, off-ramp, or swap providers, or the integration of third-party payment providers and gateways into consumer products.

• Demonstrated experience in evaluating, selecting, and onboarding external partners, along with managing their performance post-launch.

• Working knowledge of KYC/AML requirements and their implications for user onboarding and conversion.

• Technical proficiency in reading partner API documentation, evaluating integration options, and collaborating closely with engineering teams.

• Experience in defining funnel KPIs and utilizing data to enhance conversion rates and inform partner decisions.

• Exceptional English communication skills.

• Capacity to work efficiently with partners, expansion teams, and engineers across different time zones in a remote setting.
