Product Manager – Internal Billing Tools

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the roadmap for billing workflows, prioritizing initiatives according to risk, compliance, and scalability.

• Convert complex enterprise requirements into a clear and prioritized product vision.

• Balance immediate operational solutions with long-term investments in billing integrity.

• Conduct discovery sessions with Finance, Support, Sales, resellers, and systems integrators to identify failure modes in the billing lifecycle.

• Validate automation concepts for quota management, billing account setup, and reconciliation processes.

• Integrate SOX and GDPR/DSR requirements into functional product controls.

• Draft PRDs and user stories for internal billing consoles, APIs, and reconciliation pipelines.

• Design and execute billing-specific RBAC/IAM models to ensure secure least-privilege access.

• Utilize AI and automation tools to minimize manual operational hours and billing correction errors.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Partner Operations to deliver compliant and auditable billing processes.

• Establish and manage OKRs for billing health, reconciliation discrepancies, partner onboarding duration, and reduction of manual tasks.

• Define operational SLAs and create runbooks for billing incidents, ensuring high availability and data integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, specifically overseeing financial systems, billing, payments, or complex back-office operations.

• A demonstrated history of implementing automations that significantly decrease manual operational hours.

• Experience in B2B/Enterprise environments, preferably involving reseller or partner-based billing models.

• Extensive domain expertise in billing architectures, including invoicing, ledger reconciliation, multi-tenant chargebacks, and pricing models.

• Technical proficiency to collaborate with Engineering/SREs on RBAC/IAM, data pipelines, and API design.

• Capability to employ SQL/analytics for diagnosing operational challenges and assessing billing integrity.

• Comfortable managing the demands of Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams.

• Proficient in translating high-level compliance or revenue objectives into specific technical requirements.
