This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Take ownership of hardware platform decisions within a specific market vertical, acting as the product expert and shaping market strategy and roadmap.
• Identify and spearhead new product development prospects through Voice of Customer initiatives, customer engagement, industry events, and market analysis.
• Create business cases and program plans by assessing product-market fit, pricing strategies, development efforts, and timelines.
• Analyze and enhance existing product solutions by pinpointing gaps, prioritizing feature modifications, and evaluating underperforming products.
• Oversee hardware device pilots and field trials, which include defining success criteria, recruiting customers, managing logistics, tracking outcomes, and providing go/no-go recommendations.
• Implement minor product design alterations and manage Engineering Change Orders from initiation to release.
• Coordinate new sensor compatibility releases in collaboration with suppliers, hardware and software engineering teams, and sales departments.
• Facilitate cross-functional initiatives through process-driven management, effective communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate closely with Anova stakeholders and suppliers.
• Report to a Senior Hardware Product Manager who focuses on cross-vertical strategy and significant programs.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in engineering, field operations, technical program management, or a related technical/industrial role.
• 2 to 4 years of experience specifically in product management.
• Demonstrated history of problem-solving and delivering work that involves physical products.
• A Bachelor’s degree in product management, engineering, business, or equivalent practical experience.
• Capability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, including pilots, releases, and Engineering Change Orders.
• Strong instincts for customer engagement and comfort working in various settings, including the field, over the phone, and in customer facilities or yards.
• Proficiency in extracting, organizing, and analyzing data related to customers, business operations, and products.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Familiarity with the Propane, Fuels, and/or Lubricants industries is preferred.
• Direct experience with IoT hardware, sensors, telematics, or industrial monitoring products is preferred.
• Experience with product analytics tools and customer feedback systems is preferred.
• Background in managing pilots, beta programs, or controlled field trials with B2B clients is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations, industrial facilities, and yards approximately 10–15% of the time.
• Capability to occasionally lift light equipment.
• Ability to perform standard office tasks, which may include prolonged sitting or standing, computer usage, and effective communication.
