Product Manager, Developer Ecosystem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define the product strategy for Reddit's Developer Ecosystem, focusing on the transition to AI-assisted creators.

• Take ownership of the builders portal at developers.reddit.com, overseeing aspects such as onboarding, documentation, app management, analytics, review status, feature access, education, examples, templates, and entry points for AI-assisted creation.

• Spearhead the strategy for AI-assisted app creation, encompassing prompt-to-app workflows, no-code or low-code experiences, reusable templates, generated scaffolds, and Reddit-native applications.

• Develop a product strategy for an App Marketplace designed to help users discover high-quality apps, games, agents, tools, and community experiences.

• Enhance app review processes and ecosystem operations through the use of tooling, automation, AI-assisted workflows, policy checks, quality signals, and improvements in reviewer efficiency.

• Collaborate with Engineering on platform capabilities and performance enhancements, including webhooks, webviews, APIs, SDKs, tooling, and observability.

• Promote the development of successful, engaging, and popular apps and games by implementing best practices, templates, incentives, and pathways from ideation to launch and growth.

• Identify and nurture new categories of creators and developers.

• Work in partnership with teams across Contribution, Community Builders, Games, Search, Recommendations, Safety, and Ads.

• Establish feature adoption initiatives for new platform capabilities.

• Create metrics for ecosystem measurement, including weekly active developers/creators, NPS/CSAT, app launches, and retention rates.

• Develop frameworks for creating platform primitives, launching templates, funding builders, forming external partnerships, promoting apps, or discontinuing low-quality or low-trust behaviors.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration among Product, Engineering, DevRel, Community, Data, Safety, Legal, Policy, Support, BD, and senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience leading complex platform, developer ecosystem, creator ecosystem, marketplace, gaming, AI tooling, or developer experience products.

• Strong judgment in product development for creation platforms.

• Proficient with code, APIs, developer tools, technical platform trade-offs, and engineering discussions.

• Ability to navigate the interests of developers, creators, users, moderators, communities, internal teams, partners, and business priorities.

• Experience enhancing developer or creator onboarding, documentation, portals, SDKs, APIs, marketplaces, app reviews, app distribution, AI creation tools, or app-building workflows.

• Strong analytical skills with a capacity to define metrics for ecosystem performance, productivity, quality, retention, distribution, and business impact.

• Capability to collaborate closely with Engineering on platform functionalities, performance, reliability, primitives, observability, and build-vs-buy decisions.

• Strong product sensibility regarding apps, games, agents, content creation tools, and community-native experiences.

• Comfort working with AI-assisted creation tools, LLM-based workflows, prompt-to-app systems, or innovative software-building methodologies.

• Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to create decision frameworks for ambiguous investment choices.
