Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the roadmap for Scotch’s Android point-of-sale application and enhance the register experience.

• Prioritize merchant escalations, platform initiatives, and long-term product strategies.

• Collaborate with engineering on defining scopes, sequencing tasks, and making release decisions.

• Spend time in merchants’ locations to observe staff and gather insights from customers.

• Convert merchant feedback into product direction and requirements focused on outcomes.

• Ensure the application is functional with peripherals, operates well on unreliable networks, and performs under busy store conditions.

• Manage releases from start to finish, including rollout strategies and incident management.

• Act as the product liaison for support, onboarding, and go-to-market teams.

• Draft release notes and keep internal teams and merchants updated.

• Establish success metrics, integrate features, monitor usage, and assess results.

• Elevate standards for product documentation, decision-making processes, and communication with merchants.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in product management.

• Proven experience in owning a native mobile application as a product interface, including establishing a release schedule, deploying changes to existing devices, and managing broken versions in the field.

• Familiarity with fleet management or mobile device management (MDM).

• A strong history of being the sole decision-maker without requiring pre-shipment reviews.

• Regular practice of direct, face-to-face customer interaction at merchants' locations.

• Good judgment and the ability to articulate decisions, including acknowledging mistakes.

• Experience managing multiple workstreams concurrently and making independent trade-offs.

• Effective communication skills tailored for engineers, merchants, support leaders, and executives.
