Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a significant segment of Upsun Cloud, a cloud application platform, and the results it provides for developers.

• Manage product strategy, roadmap, and priorities for the designated area.

• Integrate insights from customers, support, sales, and engineering into well-defined problem statements.

• Investigate solution alternatives, assess trade-offs, and establish suitable scope.

• Implement incremental releases to shorten the feedback loop between delivery and learning.

• Work collaboratively with infrastructure and systems engineering teams to provide dependable, scalable, developer-friendly platform capabilities.

• Create features, APIs, documentation, and error messages designed for both users and AI agents.

• Regularly engage with customers and advocate for their needs internally.

• Establish metrics to showcase value for both users and the business.

• Foster alignment among engineering, design, Product Marketing, support, and leadership.

• Collaborate with Product Marketing on go-to-market strategies and product development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in product management overseeing a distinct product area, preferably related to developer platforms, PaaS, or cloud infrastructure.

• Knowledge of building, deploying, and managing applications in the cloud environment.

• Capability to work closely with infrastructure engineers on multi-tenant architectures or distributed systems.

• Familiarity with software development using languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Go, or Rust.

• Practical experience or close collaboration with CI/CD workflows.

• Proficiency with Docker/OCI container technologies.

• Strong vision for intuitive API design.

• Daily utilization of modern AI tools for research, drafting, and prototyping workflows.

• Understanding of the limitations of current AI tools and models.

• Solid perspective on autonomous agent architecture and agentic workflows.

• Ability to transform unstructured problem spaces into coherent strategies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven track record of listening, building consensus, and unifying teams around a common vision.

• Ability to seek out and analyze data to inform decisions and monitor success.

• Legally authorized to work in Germany, Canada, Spain, France, or the UK.

• Capable of passing a background check.
