Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +29 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish the vision, objectives, and success metrics for managed products and services.

• Conduct and integrate market research, user requirements, business needs, and technical methods in collaboration with designers, business analysts, and technical leads.

• Define the direction, scope, priorities, user stories, and business metrics for projects and features.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to develop and deliver projects.

• Promote product initiatives, refine them, and secure support from teams, government partners, and contractors.

• Partner with project management to prioritize roadmaps and incoming tasks.

• Represent Nava’s outcome-focused and user-centered approach during agency and contractor discovery sessions.

• Comprehend and convey the needs of end-users, population segments, and government partners.

• Assess progress towards business objectives and user needs, translating data insights into actionable strategies.

• Make strategic decisions to enhance design, establish requirements, and garner stakeholder support.

• Collaborate directly with government partners and Nava’s engineering, design, and business teams to enhance digital government services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience managing cloud-based products or platforms within federal agencies or similarly regulated environments.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration across government and contractor organizations.

• Excellent communication skills for briefing senior leadership, documenting decisions, and engaging diverse stakeholder groups.

• Solid understanding of cloud architectures, shared responsibility models, and cloud security frameworks.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other FedRAMP 20x authorized cloud environments.

• Capability to interpret security controls, compliance requirements, and technical documentation.

• Experience with federal IT governance structures, including ATO processes, continuous monitoring, and enterprise architecture reviews.

• Preferred understanding of ED/FSA mission, systems, and regulatory environment.

• Relevant certifications are highly desired, including CSPO or equivalent Agile certification, PMP or PMI ACP, ITIL Foundation, cloud certifications, and security or compliance certifications such as Security+ or CCSP.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Ability to meet other requirements for applicable government contracts.

• Work authorization that does not necessitate visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• May be subject to a government background check or security clearance depending on the contract.
