Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a well-organized, prioritized backlog containing user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and scope decisions.

• Ensure follow-up until all requirements are fully implemented.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on solution design and scope.

• Advocate for iterative releases that provide quick value delivery.

• Prepare the team for planning and refinement sessions.

• Monitor product metrics and utilize them to guide priorities.

• Identify and communicate risks, blockers, and disconnects proactively.

• Work alongside engineering leads and the Senior PM to formulate and prioritize problem statements.

• Develop domain expertise to comprehend product value and its downstream effects.

• Create help documentation and release notes.

• Keep stakeholders updated on project status.

• Advance towards direct conversations and discovery work with stakeholders and clients.

• Collaborate with Morning Consult’s product and engineering teams to create data and AI-driven decision intelligence products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in product management or a related field, such as engineering, operations, client success, or program management.

• Exhibits a proactive, low-ego, and collaborative approach to work.

• Possesses strong and clear communication skills.

• Comfortable with rapid processes and presenting work early.

• Displays curiosity and the capacity to learn unfamiliar technical areas.

• Skilled in building relationships with engineers and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with APIs or technical/data products is advantageous but not mandatory.

• A mix of experience and demonstrated skills may also be acceptable.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Must reside in one of the specified hiring states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington.
