Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Drive the expansion and implementation of the Digital Government Hub.

• Act as the product owner and manager for the Digital Government Hub.

• Oversee the content strategy, library operations, publication development, and enhancements to the platform.

• Enhance the Hub's role as a reliable resource for government professionals.

• Provide project management and operational support for initiatives within the Digital Government Network.

• Organize special events, member engagement initiatives, and cross-functional projects.

• Lead the production and management of the Civic Stack newsletter.

• Create and execute communication strategies to promote network resources, boost audience engagement, and facilitate ecosystem growth.

• Collaborate with Communications, Operations, and Research teams to utilize shared resources for the growth of the platform and ecosystem.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of Networks, Kirsten Wyatt.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• 3–5 years of professional experience is necessary.

• At least 2 years of experience focused on digital product management, data analysis, digital content management, or managing web-based resource platforms.

• Experience in managing enhancements to website features.

• Proven experience collaborating with technical developers.

• Experience working with structured data or platform taxonomies.

• Experience managing digital communication channels, including newsletter production with tools like Mailchimp and LinkedIn.

• Experience in developing strategies for content dissemination.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong project management abilities.

• Capable of independently organizing multi-stakeholder initiatives, adhering to tight operational deadlines, and navigating uncertainty.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team setting.

• Proficient with asynchronous collaboration tools such as Slack, Asana, and Airtable.

• Preferred: experience with public sector agencies, civic technology initiatives, or social impact organizations.

• Preferred: knowledge of digital government delivery topics, human-centered design principles, or public benefits infrastructure.

• Preferred: understanding of contemporary digital library frameworks, UX fundamentals, or data analytics reporting.
