This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the planning and implementation throughout the product lifecycle, encompassing market analysis, requirements gathering, ideation, decision-making, software development, and go-to-market preparation.
• Articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Fire and EMS domains under your management.
• Take ownership of, prioritize, and manage backlogs across designated teams or domains.
• Effectively communicate the product vision, suggested features, and the associated business value.
• Utilize Magic Patterns and comparable rapid prototyping tools to evaluate desirability and usability with stakeholders and customers.
• Leverage AI tools to draft and improve user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, sprint summaries, release notes, stakeholder updates, and additional communications.
• Assess requests, bugs, and enhancement suggestions using AI, adjusting priorities based on business value and dependencies.
• Ensure consistent priority definitions are maintained across backlogs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Support, Customer Success, Onboarding, executives, customers, agencies, and various departments to manage priorities and gather requirements.
• Prioritize initiatives based on NERIS, NEMSIS, state and local compliance, customer needs, sales drivers, technology shifts, and other influencing factors.
• Manage customer feedback intake through Pendo and work to enhance NPS and PES.
• Identify cross-team dependencies and sequencing conflicts prior to sprints.
• Work in partnership with product design, engineering, TPMs, neighboring Product Managers, and system architects.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies for the teams you oversee.
• Handle releases, including features, architectural improvements, and technical-debt allocations.
• Review AI-generated outputs for accuracy, treating customer and business context as the final authority.
• Develop enablement documentation and playbooks.
• Escalate unresolved trade-offs to product leadership along with recommendations.
• Contribute to retrospectives and assess return on investment.
• Coach management and facilitate the adoption of the ESO development methodology and tools, including Jira, Confluence, and Teams.
• A minimum of five years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a similar backlog-ownership position, with exposure to multiple teams or domains.
• Experience in product management at a rapidly growing software organization.
• Skilled and experienced in using AI to enhance daily operations and develop AI-first product solutions.
• Practical experience utilizing AI tools such as Claude, Magic Patterns, or similar platforms for drafting requirements, creating functional prototypes, synthesizing feedback, or generating status updates.
• Strong judgment in reviewing and correcting AI-generated content.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including backlog refinement, story writing, and sprint ceremonies.
• Proven track record of monitoring success through outcomes and metrics.
• Significant experience in defining and launching features that meet customer and business requirements.
• Demonstrated skills in strategic planning and operational execution, including process enhancement.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior talent while promoting product excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A background check will be required as a condition of offers.
• Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe PO/PM are advantageous.
• Experience managing backlogs in regulated or safety-critical domains such as EMS, fire, or hospital care is a plus.
• Familiarity with prehospital or fire service data standards such as NEMSIS or NFIRS is beneficial.
• Experience in developing or refining prompts, workflows, or lightweight AI-delivery tools is an advantage.
