Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning and execution of the product lifecycle, which includes market analysis, requirements gathering, ideation, decision-making, software development, and go-to-market readiness.

• Establish product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Fire and EMS domains under your responsibility.

• Own, prioritize, and manage product backlogs across designated teams or domains.

• Clearly communicate the product vision, proposed features, and the associated business value.

• Utilize rapid prototyping tools like Magic Patterns to assess desirability and usability.

• Employ AI tools to draft and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, sprint summaries, release notes, stakeholder updates, and communications.

• Analyze customer requests, bugs, and enhancement suggestions using AI, routing and reprioritizing based on business value and dependencies.

• Collaborate with Sales, Support, Customer Success, Onboarding, executives, customers, agencies, and various departments to gather requirements and manage trade-offs.

• Prioritize initiatives based on NERIS, NEMSIS, local and state compliance, customer needs, sales drivers, and technology advancements.

• Manage customer feedback intake through Pendo to enhance NPS and PES.

• Highlight cross-team dependencies and sequencing conflicts.

• Work alongside product design and engineering teams to evaluate viability, feasibility, and desirability.

• Engage in Scrum ceremonies with the teams you oversee.

• Collaborate with TPMs, Engineering, and Product Managers to align on portfolio priorities.

• Oversee releases, including new features, incremental improvements, architectural enhancements, and addressing technical debt.

• Work with system architects on infrastructure decisions and sequencing.

• Develop enablement documentation and playbooks.

• Escalate unresolved trade-offs to product leadership along with recommendations.

• Contribute to retrospectives and assess return on investment.

• Provide support and mentorship to managers.

• Plan and implement the adoption of the ESO development methodology and tools, including Jira, Confluence, and Teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a similar backlog management role, with experience spanning multiple teams or domains.

• Background in product management within a rapidly growing software company.

• Proficient and experienced in utilizing AI to enhance daily operations and develop AI-first product solutions.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude, Magic Patterns, or similar platforms for drafting requirements, creating functional prototypes, synthesizing feedback, or generating status updates.

• Strong judgment in reviewing and revising AI-generated content.

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including backlog refinement, story writing, and sprint ceremonies.

• Proven track record of monitoring success through outcomes and metrics.

• Significant experience in defining and launching features that address customer and business needs.

• Proven strategic planning and operational execution capabilities, including process improvement.

• Experience in mentoring and developing junior talent.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Certification such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe PO/PM is considered a plus.

• Experience managing backlogs in a regulated or safety-critical sector such as EMS, fire, or hospital care is an additional advantage.

• Familiarity with prehospital or fire service data standards like NEMSIS or NFIRS is a plus.

• Experience in building or enhancing prompts, workflows, or lightweight tools that improve team utilization of AI is an optional qualification.
