This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Oversee a compact, self-sufficient innovation team dedicated to creating product experiences that set Cardata apart.
• Develop a cohesive experience for both drivers and administrators in collaboration with web and mobile-focused developers.
• Recognize significant problems, formulate hypotheses, outline minimum testable experiences, and quickly prototype with customer involvement.
• Transform customer insights into swift V2, V3, and V4 iterations.
• Direct the team’s focus on the most critical unanswered questions and emphasize learning through building before scaling.
• Recruit and involve customers along with the market validation group.
• Facilitate prototype sessions and differentiate valuable evidence from isolated feature requests.
• Balance trade-offs among customer value, commercial potential, project scope, speed, usability, and technical risk.
• Establish success metrics and advise on whether to halt, pivot, continue iterations, or invest further resources.
• Collaborate with technical leaders to solidify and scale validated concepts.
• Develop the business and product rationale for additional investment and prepare strategy, evidence, requirements, and context for transition to core product and engineering teams.
• 7–9 years of Product Management experience, including substantial involvement in B2B SaaS startups or similarly dynamic environments.
• Proven ability to convert ambiguous customer or market challenges into functional prototypes and validated product opportunities.
• Experience leading rapid discovery and iteration cycles in direct engagement with customers.
• Experience creating multi-persona products with interconnected workflows.
• Strong product judgment.
• UX fluency adequate to develop coherent workflows and provide clear guidance to developers.
• Robust commercial instincts and the capability to link product decisions to differentiation, revenue, retention, cost, or strategic value.
• Strong technical fluency, covering APIs, data models, system boundaries, integrations, security, and architectural trade-offs.
• Comfort in day-to-day interactions with developers and adaptability in prioritizing as new evidence arises.
• Exceptional facilitation and communication skills with customers, developers, executives, and cross-functional collaborators.
• High sense of ownership, low ego, and the discipline to abandon or modify unsupported concepts.
• Nice to have: experience as an early-stage or founding Product Manager.
• Nice to have: experience with mobile and web products that deliver a unified customer journey.

• Nice to have: experience in regulated, compliance-heavy, logistics, mobility, or transportation-related sectors.
