
Product Lead – Platform & Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap across the entire Sureel stack.
• Collaborate with labels, publishers, PROs/CMOs, artists, AI companies, DSPs, and other industry stakeholders to comprehend workflows and requirements.
• Spearhead customer, market, competitive, and workflow research as well as prototype testing.
• Convert commercial and licensing ideas into scalable product functionalities.
• Develop enterprise-level products that incorporate administration, permissions, roles, bulk workflows, APIs, integrations, auditability, reporting, configurability, security, reliability, and operational scalability.
• Define the core platform infrastructure, configurable features, integrations, and custom exceptions.
• Write and maintain PRDs, user journeys, workflows, success metrics, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and implementation priorities.
• Collaborate directly with Engineering and AI teams throughout the development process.
• Partner with Client Relations to address onboarding challenges, adoption barriers, and partner feedback.
• Analyze product usage and partner behavior.
• Lead products from research and concept through development, launch, adoption, iteration, and expansion.
• Establish product discipline and governance, including roadmap reviews and prioritization frameworks.
• Define measurable outcomes for product investments.
• Identify trends across customer requests and market developments.
• Ensure product architecture adheres to emerging industry frameworks and standards for rights, licensing, permissions, attribution, and reporting.
• Foster clarity among leadership, Engineering, AI, Commercial, Client Relations, and Marketing.
• Contribute to shaping the future product organization and identifying resource needs.
• Transform Sureel from individual capabilities into a unified enterprise platform.
• Proven product leader with experience in building enterprise B2B software, platforms, infrastructure, APIs, or technically complex products.
• Strong product judgment while remaining deeply engaged in hands-on work.
• Experience overseeing products from discovery through launch and adoption phases.
• Proficient in customer discovery methodologies.
• Ability to convert complex business models, workflows, and customer requirements into scalable product systems.
• Comfortable discussing APIs, data models, integrations, AI systems, infrastructure, and technical trade-offs.
• Knowledge of enterprise product requirements and how they differ from consumer products.
• Commercial awareness relating to customer value, adoption, strategic advantages, and business outcomes.
• Ability to differentiate between individual customer issues and platform capabilities.
• Comfortable working with limited information in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Clear communication skills across technical, commercial, customer, and executive audiences.
• Willingness to engage hands-on in a small startup setting.
• Experience in media, music, rights management, licensing, payments, marketplaces, compliance, or creator platforms is a plus.
• Background in multi-sided platforms or ecosystems is advantageous.
• Experience developing products for large enterprises is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AI or machine-learning products, APIs, developer infrastructure, or data-intensive platforms is a plus.
• Experience translating contracts, pricing models, or business rules into product functionalities is advantageous.
• Background as an early product hire or product leader who established product practices from the ground up is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with C-level executives is advantageous.
• A curiosity about AI, technology, intellectual property, and creative industries is a plus.
