This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the assessment for modernizing the legacy platform and provide comprehensive product leadership across the Requirements, Solutioning, and Development workstreams.
• Establish a strategic and updated vision for legacy capabilities and align each function with its future place within the target enterprise platform.
• Foster executive alignment with federal client business leadership, IT teams, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision-making processes and present executive options, trade-offs, and recommendations effectively.
• Oversee the current-state evaluation of the legacy platform, which includes the servicer portal, databases, reporting services, external servicer integrations, and manual operational processes.
• Guide capability-specific value stream reviews and requirements workshops related to loan servicing capabilities.
• Ensure that both functional and non-functional requirements are documented and consistently maintained in Confluence and Jira.
• Direct the creation of an analysis for the disposition of legacy functions.
• Guide the development of phased modernization implementation strategies, including sequencing, scenarios, cost, schedule, and staffing estimates.
• Advocate for the responsible use of AI in modernization efforts, covering areas such as AI Ops, development harnesses, reusable skills and agents, innovation pipelines, and targeted prototypes.
• Align recommendations with enterprise shared services, data records, industry servicing data standards, and the enterprise data model.
• Consider workforce evolution and employee performance factors.
• Ensure compliance with Technical Reference Model standards, DevSecOps best practices, configuration-first principles, and documentation templates.
• Lead cross-functional teams to produce monthly work products and client-ready deliverables.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and changes in scope; effectively navigate client escalations and delivery challenges.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, consensus, and commitment surrounding modernization initiatives.
• Develop and sustain strategic relationships with federal client leadership and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree along with an additional 2 years of experience.
• High school diploma plus an additional 4 years of experience.
• Proven experience in leading legacy system modernization, migration, or decommissioning assessments and formulating roadmaps and implementation options for executive decision-makers.
• Demonstrated experience in leading requirements gathering, value stream analysis, and future-state visioning across various business capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations to executive leadership effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, coupled with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capacity to pivot focus between high-priority tasks as needed.
• Leadership qualities in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to navigate challenges and consistently deliver on commitments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Preferred: experience in supporting federal loan servicing or benefits-delivery applications and enterprise platform migrations.
• Preferred: current Public Trust clearance at a federal agency.
• Preferred: extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, especially loan servicing, loss mitigation, default, foreclosure, and claims processes.
• Preferred: familiarity with MISMO data standards and servicer reporting.
• Preferred: experience implementing Salesforce and/or AWS solutions for federal government projects.
• Preferred: experience utilizing AI-assisted tools and practices within FedRAMP-authorized environments.
• Preferred: understanding of DevSecOps practices and federal client Technical Reference Model standards.
• Preferred: experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Full-Time, W2 employment.
• 100% remote work (US-based).
• 40 hours per week with availability during core business hours of 8am–5pm ET.
