Product Lead

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the vision and strategy for a specific product area, determining development priorities.

• Lead and mentor a team of product engineers, guiding them in scope and delivery decisions.

• Design and oversee 6-week Shape Up cycles to introduce new features and integrate providers.

• Streamline the processes for insurer onboarding, plan establishment, premium management, and benefit workflows.

• Convert compliance and underwriting complexities into user-friendly workflows for employees.

• Collaborate with teams across support, success, sales, and operations.

• Play a key role in shaping product areas as Kota expands its offerings and enters new markets.

• Deliver products swiftly while ensuring a high standard of quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven product experience at a lead, staff, or principal level; strong senior candidates may also be considered.

• Background in entrepreneurship, including founding projects, working at early-stage startups, or having engineering experience prior to transitioning into product.

• Demonstrated experience in owning the vision and strategy for a product area.

• Ability to quickly grasp unfamiliar domains.

• Experience in cross-business collaboration with support, success, and sales teams.

• Familiarity with working in high-quality environments.

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills, emphasizing value and results.

• Experience in scale-up environments, approximately from Series A to D; seed-stage experience is advantageous.

• Comfortable in a managerial role or ready to begin managing people.

• Domain knowledge in fintech, insurtech, HR tech, benefits, employee expenses, travel, or other employer-focused products that serve both HR buyers and employees.
