Product Engineer – Backend or Full-stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of technical solutions from start to finish, encompassing problem comprehension, technical exploration, implementation, testing, release, production, and ongoing enhancement.

• Spearhead backend services or deliver comprehensive user-facing features across both frontend and backend.

• Assess feasibility, pinpoint limitations, and shape technical methodologies before finalizing the project scope.

• Choose technical solutions by balancing customer value, delivery speed, maintainability, and operational risk.

• Test, release, monitor, and support solutions during deployment and the hypercare phase.

• Utilize Claude Code, MCP servers, custom agents, skills, and internal tools in AI-enhanced development.

• Work collaboratively with Product Managers, QA, and fellow engineers.

• Provide context and discuss trade-offs instead of waiting for fully defined tickets.

• Detect recurring issues and enhance products, systems, and engineering methodologies.

• Articulate technical trade-offs to Product Managers and convey business reasoning to engineers.

• Solid engineering foundation in a primary technical area, complemented by a diverse range to achieve impactful results.

• Backend-focused: substantial commercial experience with PHP and Laravel or Symfony.

• Backend-focused: experience in designing backend systems, business logic, data modeling, REST APIs, and integrations.

• Backend-focused: familiarity with microservices, event-driven systems, or distributed architectures.

• Backend-focused: practical understanding of relational and non-relational databases, caching, and message queues.

• Backend-focused: knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, and production infrastructure.

• Backend-focused: willingness to work with JavaScript or TypeScript beyond the backend.

• Full-stack: significant commercial experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Vue.js.

• Full-stack: experience with component architecture, state management, performance, and maintainable frontend systems.

• Full-stack: practical knowledge of Tailwind and Pinia, or similar tools.

• Full-stack: commercial experience with PHP and Laravel.

• Full-stack: confidence in working with APIs, business logic, databases, caching, and backend integrations.

• Full-stack: UX awareness, including accessibility and interaction consistency.

• Full-stack: ability to implement both frontend and backend changes within the same feature.

• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or a similar AI coding environment.

• Proficient in communicating in both Polish and English.

• Capability to collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in creating MCP servers, agents, skills, or internal AI tools is a significant plus.

• Expected familiarity with the following technical environment: PHP, Laravel, Symfony, TypeScript, JavaScript, Vue.js, Tailwind, Pinia, REST APIs, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, microservices, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Claude Code, MCP servers, and AI agents.
