Product Engineer – Backend, Full-stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of technical solutions from problem identification and technical discovery to implementation, testing, release, production, and ongoing enhancement.

• Lead backend services or deliver comprehensive user-facing features across both frontend and backend, based on your expertise.

• Assess feasibility, recognize constraints, and define the technical strategy prior to finalizing the project scope.

• Choose technical solutions that balance customer value, speed of delivery, sustainability, and operational risk.

• Test, release, monitor, and provide support for solutions during the rollout phase and hypercare period.

• Utilize Claude Code, MCP servers, custom agents, skills, and internal tools in AI-enhanced development.

• Collaborate across teams with Product Managers, QA, and fellow engineers.

• Provide context and articulate trade-offs instead of relying on fully detailed tickets.

• Identify recurring issues and enhance products, systems, and engineering practices.

• Assume responsibility for the technical quality of all deliverables that reach production.

• Experience delivering software utilized by actual customers while closely monitoring outcomes.

• Solid engineering fundamentals in a primary technical domain, with the versatility to achieve significant results.

• Backend-focused profile: extensive commercial experience with PHP and Laravel or Symfony.

• Backend-focused profile: experience in designing backend systems, business logic, data modeling, REST APIs, integrations, and distributed architectures.

• Backend-focused profile: practical understanding of relational and non-relational databases, caching, and message queues.

• Backend-focused profile: familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and production infrastructure.

• Backend-focused profile: willingness to engage with JavaScript or TypeScript and contribute beyond backend tasks.

• Full-stack profile: considerable commercial experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Vue.js.

• Full-stack profile: experience in component architecture, state management, performance, and sustainable frontend systems.

• Full-stack profile: practical knowledge of Tailwind and Pinia or relevant comparable tools.

• Full-stack profile: commercial experience with PHP and Laravel.

• Full-stack profile: confidence in working with APIs, business logic, databases, caching, and backend integrations.

• Full-stack profile: UX awareness, including consideration for interaction, accessibility, and consistency.

• Direct experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or a similar AI coding environment.

• Experience utilizing AI for technical discovery, implementation, test generation, debugging, codebase exploration, specification-driven development, or repeatable engineering processes.

• Proficiency in communicating in both Polish and English.

• Ability to collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA engineers, software engineers, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in creating MCP servers, agents, skills, or internal AI tools is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with Event Sourcing or CQRS, design systems, component libraries, caching, queues, service boundaries, or complex integrations is beneficial.
