Product Documentation Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the customer-facing documentation suite, which includes release articles, live articles, and outdated content.

• Publish customer-facing release documentation on the day that releases are shipped.

• Verify the accuracy of published information against the product and platform.

• Address and resolve feedback on live articles.

• Revise, rewrite, and update older documentation.

• Create screenshots, screen recordings, and brief walkthroughs.

• Transform feature specifications into published articles.

• Collaborate directly with the Russian-speaking product team to grasp product behavior and answer unresolved questions.

• Review AI-generated drafts, validate claims against the product, and edit until finalized.

• Work together with English-speaking colleagues across various departments to pinpoint documentation gaps.

• Aim for full independence alongside the Manager of Product Documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in writing technical or product documentation, or technical content.

• Demonstrated ability to manage documentation from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

• Near-native proficiency in written English (C1/C2).

• Adequate Russian language skills to directly source product behavior from a Russian-speaking team.

• Comfortable with technical materials, including the ability to read tech specifications and understand basic API behavior.

• Capability to record, edit, and produce clear screen-recorded walkthroughs.

• Self-reliant and able to adhere to standards without requiring extensive guidance.

• Comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment with changing contexts and priorities.

• Significant regular use of AI in daily tasks and an understanding of its benefits.

• Experience with REST API and developer-facing documentation, along with an editorial background, product marketing or UX writing, and bilingual Russian/English organizational experience is a plus.
