Product Documentation Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of customer-facing documentation, including release articles, live content, and outdated materials.

• Ensure the publication of every customer-facing release article on the day of the release.

• Validate published content against the actual product and platform.

• Manage and address feedback on live documentation.

• Revise, rewrite, and refresh older documentation.

• Create screenshots, screen recordings, and brief walkthroughs for releases.

• Transform feature specifications into published articles.

• Collaborate directly with the Russian-speaking product team to comprehend product behavior and clarify any unresolved questions.

• Start from AI-generated drafts, confirm claims against the product, and edit for precision and completeness.

• Work in partnership with English-speaking colleagues across departments to pinpoint documentation gaps.

• Develop documentation standards and strive for full autonomy in collaboration with the Manager of Product Documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in crafting technical or product documentation, or technical content.

• Demonstrated capability to manage documentation from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

• Near-native proficiency in written English (C1/C2).

• Sufficient working knowledge of Russian to source product behavior directly from a Russian-speaking team.

• Ability to interpret technical specifications, understand basic API functionality, and write about it accurately.

• Proficiency in recording, editing, and delivering clear screen-recorded walkthroughs.

• Self-reliance and the ability to apply standards independently.

• Comfort in a dynamic environment with changing contexts and priorities.

• Regular use of AI and an understanding of its value addition.

• Additional experience with REST APIs and developer-facing documentation is a plus.

• Background in editing is advantageous.

• Experience in product marketing or UX writing is beneficial.

• Experience in a bilingual Russian/English product or engineering organization is a plus.
