Instructional Designer, Technical Writer – Project Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish content and documentation standards along with a repeatable development process.

• Transform source content into organized modules, lessons, objectives, and assessments for educational material.

• Develop detailed SOPs including roles, systems, inputs/outputs, and escalation points.

• Leverage AI to enhance drafting efficiency while ensuring human oversight and quality assurance.

• Recognize processes that would benefit from video walkthroughs and suggest an appropriate production workflow.

• Create reusable templates and prompts for future use.

• Set up procedures for review, version control, and updates.

• Independently manage the complete project scope, coordinating with IT and management as necessary.

• Submit a Request for Quotation (RFQ) detailing the proposed strategy, timeline, hours, and costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in instructional design and/or technical writing.

• Practical experience with AI/LLM tools for generating content.

• Capability to interview stakeholders and convert workflows/subject matter into concise, structured documentation.

• Familiarity with tools like Mindsmith, Synthesia, or similar AI content/video creation platforms.

• Experience in LMS implementation or documentation governance.

• A portfolio showcasing relevant and comparable projects.

• RFQ that outlines the proposed work, methodology, inclusions/exclusions, estimated timeline and hours, total and recurring costs, required TeamFicient inputs, along with any associated risks, limitations, and assumptions.

• Openness to signing an NDA and Project Agreement prior to accessing full project details and credentials.

• Willingness to undergo a background check.
