Product Documentation Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of customer-facing documentation, which includes release articles, live articles, and outdated materials.

• Publish every customer-facing release article on the same day the release is launched.

• Ensure that the published content accurately reflects the actual product and platform.

• Manage and address feedback on live documentation.

• Revise, rewrite, and refresh older documentation as necessary.

• Create screenshots, screen recordings, and short walkthroughs for each release.

• Convert feature specifications into published articles.

• Collaborate directly with the Russian-speaking product team to gain insights into product behavior and identify missing information.

• Start with AI-generated drafts, verify claims against the product, and edit for thoroughness.

• Work alongside English-speaking colleagues across various departments to pinpoint documentation gaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in writing technical or product documentation, or tech-related content.

• Demonstrated ability to manage documentation from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

• Near-native proficiency in written English (C1/C2).

• Sufficient Russian language skills to gather product behavior information from a Russian-speaking team.

• Capability to read technical specifications, understand basic API functions, and write about them accurately.

• Proficient in recording, editing, and producing clear screen-recorded walkthroughs.

• Independent in applying standards and enhancing previous work.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

• Actively utilizing AI effectively in daily tasks.

• Experience with REST API and developer-focused documentation, editing, product marketing, or UX writing, as well as bilingual Russian/English organizational experience, are considered a plus.
