This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring key milestones are achieved from formulation approval to final production.

• Collaborate with operations to oversee project budgets and product costing, ensuring that products align with established margin goals.

• Lead the final selection and approval process for raw materials and packaging.

• Maintain relationships with contract manufacturers, formulators, fragrance houses, and packaging suppliers to avert delays.

• Ensure that pipeline products adhere to all relevant federal, state, and industry regulations, including EPA, Safer Choice, and EWG standards.

• Coordinate daily with Brand, Operations, Regulatory/Legal, Creative, and Retail teams.

• Manage and update project timelines to facilitate on-time product launches.

• Identify challenges and implement immediate solutions to mitigate risks.

• Oversee the final stages of commercialization, including manufacturing readiness, quality control checks, content completion, and transition to the scale team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Product Development, R&D, Product Management, Operations, Buying, or a related role within the CPG sector.

• Practical experience in developing and launching consumer products from concept through to commercialization.

• Preference for experience in cleaning, household goods, beauty, or personal care sectors.

• Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers, formulators, packaging suppliers, or other partners in product development.

• Solid understanding of formulation, ingredients, packaging development, and product commercialization processes.

• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects under tight deadlines.

• Strong grasp of the US consumer product and retail landscape.

• Experience with sustainable packaging, natural/plant-based formulations, or environmentally focused brands is advantageous.

• Familiarity with retailer requirements and documentation for Walmart, Target, or Amazon is a bonus.

• Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and follow-through capabilities.

• Comfortable working independently and integrating into an established team and workflow with minimal ramp-up time.
