Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Quickly prototype concepts using Figma, AI prototyping tools, or coding.

• Conduct early testing of interactive prototypes with customers and iterate prior to engineering commitment.

• Define information architecture as Invoice Simple evolves into payments, bookkeeping, and AI.

• Recognize significant experience challenges and opportunities throughout customer journeys.

• Offer evidence-based suggestions to prioritize squad initiatives.

• Design with a focus on activation, retention, and conversion objectives.

• Create experiments and analyze results in collaboration with product managers and analysts.

• Develop reliable AI experiences that keep customers informed and in control.

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers from discovery through to delivery.

• Contribute to the design system across iOS, Android, and web platforms.

• Report directly to the Design Manager.

• Foster relationships with product and engineering partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing digital products.

• A portfolio showcasing shipped mobile and web projects that demonstrate impact.

• Strong skills in interaction design.

• A solid grasp of information architecture.

• Ability to streamline complex workflows for non-technical users.

• Proficient rapid prototyping skills in Figma and AI-assisted prototyping or coding tools.

• Experience in designing consumer, SMB, or self-serve products.

• Comfortable with research and data, including customer sessions, analytics, and experiments.

• Familiarity with native iOS and Android design patterns.

• Experience working within a design system.

• Must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

• Experience with growth metrics such as activation, conversion, or retention is advantageous.

• Background in payments, fintech, or financial products is a plus.

• A maker mindset with a strong emphasis on simplicity, curiosity about customers, collaboration, receptiveness to feedback, and attention to detail.
