Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist mission users in discovering authorized tools and requesting access via a user-friendly self-service workspace.

• Facilitate the entire workflow related to enterprise software deployments, collaborating with SREs and administrators who configure tools and oversee access management.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, test, and refine user-centered solutions for UDS Enterprise.

• Perform UX research and testing to collect feedback, identify challenges, and iterate on design solutions.

• Establish product concepts, overarching workflows, micro-interactions, and visual designs tailored for enterprise experiences.

• Develop and maintain user personas specific to enterprise users.

• Partner with developers to design and create intuitive enterprise experiences.

• Create and refine user flows, personas, user roles, user journeys, and UX/UI artifacts.

• Plan and execute iterative improvements to UI design.

• Enhance understanding of disconnected operations, classification boundaries, and Department of Defense operational constraints.

• Document UI solutions and contribute to the shared component library.

• Ensure seamless integration across various UDS platform tools.

• Cultivate a working knowledge of UDS, DevSecOps, IDAM, and highly regulated environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• A portfolio showcasing proven product design experience in enterprise software is required.

• 3-5 years of product design experience, including a minimum of 1-2 years focused on enterprise software or complex B2B SaaS products.

• Demonstrated experience in designing enterprise self-service, multi-tenancy, centrally managed administration, or organization-level governance products.

• Expertise in systems design, UX/interaction design, and visual design.

• Proficiency in Figma, including knowledge of component libraries, auto-layout, variables, prototyping, responsive design techniques, and developer handoff processes.

• Understanding of accessibility principles and familiarity with 508 compliance.

• Experience in leading design critiques, remote user testing sessions, and collaborative design workshops.

• Background in designing for enterprise users, administrators, SREs, IT teams, platform teams, security teams, or similarly intricate user groups.

• Proven experience in designing workflows that involve tools, applications, services, permissions, subscriptions, or policies.

• Comfort with complex information architecture, data-intensive interfaces, system state, auditability, and user permissions.

• Familiarity with the Tailwind CSS utility-first approach and its constraints.

• Basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts, such as clusters, namespaces, workloads, deployments, and platform operations, or a willingness to learn.

• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including SSO, RBAC, groups, permissions, organizations, tenants, and user provisioning.

• Exceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage dependencies, and navigate ambiguous problem spaces.

• Experience working remotely and asynchronously with distributed teams across various time zones.
