Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take charge of purchasing and inventory planning with key suppliers to ensure sufficient stock availability while effectively managing inventory levels and working capital.

• Oversee the entire procurement process, which includes forecasting, setting reorder points, issuing purchase orders, confirming with suppliers, managing lead times, coordinating inbound shipments, and handling goods received.

• Direct demand planning by analyzing sales history, seasonality, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and safety stock requirements.

• Track and enhance inventory, focusing on dead and slow-moving stock, optimizing inventory days, identifying clearance opportunities, and maintaining working capital.

• Cultivate supplier relationships, addressing pricing, MOQs, delivery performance, claims, supplier scorecards, and contractual obligations.

• Oversee inbound freight and logistics, including coordination with forwarders, customs brokers, shipping documentation, and estimated time of arrival (ETA) tracking.

• Maintain supplier and service contracts, keeping track of renewal dates, commercial terms, targets, rebates, and essential obligations.

• Manage local and indirect procurement for packaging, consumables, and necessary business services.

• Lead quarterly procurement and forecasting reviews alongside Sales and Marketing teams.

• Own the procurement and inventory components of the NetSuite implementation.

• Provide leadership reporting on various metrics such as inventory levels, purchasing activities, supplier performance, inventory days, and working capital.

• Inform about any ongoing roles or client commitments.

• Represent the engagement as an Independent Contractor on LinkedIn.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be based in the Philippines.

• Minimum of 6 years in procurement or supply chain within an importer, wholesaler, or distributor environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity (either as the sole owner or team lead).

• Experience handling physical goods, container and air freight, and overseas suppliers, with a preference for those based in China and the US.

• Practical experience with NetSuite, specifically in Purchase Requests and approval workflows, Purchase Orders, Vendor records, Inbound Shipments, Item Receipts, reorder points/min-max, landed cost, and bill matching from the procurement perspective.

• Experience in a NetSuite implementation focused on procurement and inventory management.

• Familiarity with demand planning utilizing sales history, safety stock, lead time, MOQ calculations, and seasonality.

• Background in inventory optimization, including managing dead and slow stock, clearance strategies, inventory days, and working capital.

• Experience in indirect procurement covering packaging, consumables, and services; managing supplier consolidation and standing orders; and negotiating and renewing contracts.

• Knowledge of freight and import processes, including Incoterms, liaising with forwarders and customs brokers, handling shipping documents, and managing ETA.

• Experience in supplier management, including quotes, negotiating MOQs and prices, performance scorecards, claims management, and executing principal relationships.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Power BI experience is necessary; capability in building reports is a plus.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Ability to present to a leadership team in Brisbane and communicate effectively with overseas principals and Australian suppliers independently.

• Preferred: Experience with distribution or supply agreements, familiarity with Australian SMEs or remote Australian businesses, MYOB knowledge, and multi-category contract/supplier/procurement management experience.
