Procurement Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Analyze technical project specifications, requisitions, and commodities; issue solicitations while considering contract flow-down and encouraging full and open competition when feasible.

• Assist both internal and external clients in justifying sole- or single-source selections when competitive options are not viable.

• Assess and negotiate offers for materials/services, purchase-order terms and conditions, and credit terms with vendors.

• Evaluate, select, and award contracts to reliable and responsive suppliers in compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations and program objectives.

• Engage with suppliers, influencing and enhancing their performance.

• Oversee open orders and ensure data accuracy to support two-/three-way matching for prompt receipt and payment.

• Communicate, update, and manage critical information, keeping stakeholders informed about any issues that could negatively impact projects.

• Collaborate with the program office, design engineering, operations engineering, quality assurance, materials, and the wider procurement organization.

• Carry out other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in conducting market research to identify the best strategy for procuring supplies and services.

• Capability to read and comprehend technical (mechanical/electrical) requirements to facilitate and support technical discussions between Suppliers and Engineering teams.

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in sourcing, negotiation, and procurement roles; experience in the Aerospace (manned and unmanned) sector is preferred.

• Proven ability to work autonomously as well as within a team/matrix organization.

• Highly organized, critical, and analytical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.

• Flexible to change and determined to tackle challenges effectively.

• An Associate’s Degree in S.T.E.M. or Supply Chain is advantageous.

• Supply Chain Professional Certifications, such as NCMA/ISM, are preferred.

• Familiarity with Enterprise/Material Requirements Planning (ERP/MRP), with Costpoint knowledge being a plus.

• Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.

• Technical education, skills, knowledge, and expertise related to UAV manufacturing and part fabrication.

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or S.T.E.M. is required.
