Procurement Director – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead the EMEA Category Management team and oversee the execution of category strategies across key spending categories.

• Cultivate preferred supply partners and manage regional supplier relationships.

• Implement Volta's global sourcing standards, procurement policies, and comprehensive procurement processes.

• Own the procurement plans for all active projects within the EMEA portfolio.

• Monitor and secure long-lead equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, generators, chillers, and cooling infrastructure.

• Lead the negotiation of regional supply and framework agreements in collaboration with Procurement Legal Counsel.

• Supervise the standards, quality of output, and career development of project procurement leads.

• Collaborate with Regional Delivery, Project Delivery, and Project Controls teams to synchronize procurement sequencing with project stage gates.

• Provide visibility into regional vendor spending, risks, and commitments to the VP, Vendor Procurement, and Global Delivery portfolio reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of procurement experience in data center, energy, or large-scale infrastructure construction.

• Direct experience with EMEA supply chains and vendor markets.

• Proven leadership in managing a category management team and enforcing sourcing discipline.

• Experience in negotiating master and framework agreements, as well as managing OEM relationships for long lead, capital-intensive equipment.

• Familiarity with operating within a matrix delivery organization.

• Comfortable collaborating with legal counsel on complex commercial and contractual terms.

• Ability to provide clear reporting and communication to senior stakeholders.
