Procurement Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the supply chain activities for OFCI Equipment during the data center construction process.

• Keep accurate records, acquire updated vendor submissions, and uphold product specifications.

• Collaborate with vendors and the Procurement team to ensure compliance with company specifications.

• Monitor and manage contracts while preparing status and tracking reports.

• Assist Procurement Managers and the Procurement Director with daily operations.

• Review single line diagrams and product specifications, driving OFCI Equipment submissions to approval.

• Coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for switchgear, transformers, electrical skids, CRAHs, chillers, generators, UPSs, and other data center equipment.

• Lead continuous quality improvement, quality control, and lessons-learned initiatives with vendors.

• Track the status of equipment and scheduled dates against construction timelines.

• Analyze vendor quotes, change order requests, and submissions.

• Optimize costs associated with equipment and vendor services while ensuring quality and reliability.

• Enter purchase orders, review invoices, manage budgets, and allocate equipment using financial software.

• Assist with inventory updates, financial closeout, invoice resolutions, equipment planning, negotiation, forecasting, and issuance of purchase orders.

• Coordinate equipment approvals, onsite delivery, startup, and commissioning support services.

• Maintain relationships with suppliers and contribute to procurement process enhancements.

• Ensure vendor compliance with safety requirements, spare parts programs, and service initiatives.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Construction Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, Vendor Onboarding, and Environmental Health & Safety teams.

• Assist in the exploration of new products and vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, construction science, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a supply chain or construction-related role.

• Experience with data center, commercial, or industrial equipment is highly preferred.

• Ability to learn quickly and drive projects to completion.

• Strong business acumen complemented by a solid commercial background.

• Familiarity with sourcing and procurement techniques.

• Capability to coordinate with vendors, procurement, engineering, operations, construction management, finance, accounting, compliance, and safety teams.

• Willingness and ability to travel to factories for witness testing, audits, and vendor onboarding.

• Occasional minimal travel to Vantage Data Center locations may be necessary.
